Fresh Blender News, Every Day
Russian Animator Shiva3D posted this awesome animation. This is the kind of stuff that I imagine the Blender Institute's next project will have: SciFi, Robots, explosions, smoke, pointless impressive stuff. Love it.
Update: I thought this was made in Blender, but that was not the case. Bummer. Anyway, we can do better than that, right? ;-)

I don't have to tell you which software he used to create the image, do I? ;-). Having your work featured in Science is no small feat, so congratulations everyone!

In addition, they're looking for summer interns who can work with Blender.
The new Cloth simulation system of Blender brings a lot of possibilities for animation. Did you try it already? Well, a few artists are actually playing around with it, and they are creating amazing simulations!
