All animation fans, Animarte 6 has an open call for entries for their upcoming 6th annual Animarte Festival in San Francisco. If you are serious about animation and are looking for exposure, you should check it out.
Sintel is nominated for the Webcuts Awards 2011 in the Collaborative Project Category and will be showing at the festival in Berlin on the 31st of May. The festival is being held at the Babylon Cinema and the nominees will be shown up on the big screen. Tickets are still avaliable for €10, so if you’re in Berlin this could be your chance to see Sintel on the silver screen!
Site:Lab is a group of artists which collaborate on an architecture site based exhibition projects. The augmented reality team is looking for artists who would like to showcase their work presented inside the Junaio Augmented Reality system for smart phones at the exhibition site.
The Blender made movie Plumiferos! Has been selected to become part of the Latino Film Festival in San Diego, competing under the Animation category.
Dalai Felinto, Mike Pan and Martins Upitis use Blender in a real-time setup with sub-atomic particle detectors and a full-dome projector. You can see their work at the Cosmic Sensations event in Nijmegen, the Netherlands from Sept 30 – Oct 2, and they’re giving away free tickets!

The Webcuts Internet Film Fest Berlin is looking for the best animations of 2008/2009.
The 4th Animarte – International Animation Festival is receiving submissions until September 30, 2009. Animarte is open to animated and mixed media shorts with a duration of 15 minutes or less. There is no entry or registration fee and all animation techniques are accepted.
