Car Material Library

Afbeelding 1.jpgIf you are working on a car model (and somewhere in your Blender career you probably are) then this may come in handy: Sonix provides a car materials library for Blender with no less than 54 materials and textures.

The materials are divided in the following categories:

  • Chrome
  • Glass
  • Specials (several textures, for example for dashboard stuff)
  • Tires
  • Car Interiors
  • Various Metals
  • Standard Shader Car Paints
  • Colour Flip Standard Shader Car Paints
  • Ramp Shader Car Paints
  • Colour Flip Ramp Shader Car Paints

You can download the library here.

This is another 'golden oldie' – a Blender resource that has been around for a long time. It's not exactly news, but we list these here so we can provide a permanent searchable list of resources for the Blender community. For example, try the following categories: Repositories, Python Scripts or Tutorials. If you know of any useful resources that we should add, please let us know.

    Tried your link (see below) to car materials at local time 1215hr 11 May 2006 and it appears to be dead.

    It says "javascript required" for me even though I don't have it turned off. Looks like some IEism. Tried with camino, safari, firefox and epiphany. :/

    Does somebody know an alternative URL for this archive? Bittorrent or emule URLs would be fine too.
