Call for Blender Workshops, Libre Graphics Meeting

LGM LogoRui Campos is looking for people to do an Animation / Rigging, Game Engine or Python workshop at the Libre Graphics Meeting in Lyon.

I was wondering if you could post a news item with a call for anyone going to the Libre Graphics Meeting that might be interested in doing Animation / Rigging workshops.

Currently I will be doing a Introduction to Blender, Modeling with Blender and Blender CVS workshops, also, I convinced Brecht to do a Coding workshop.

Well, now there it is missing the Animation / Rigging workshop. Perhaps you could also post about anyone interested in doing either Game Engine or Python related workshops, it would be cool too.

The deadline is 9th March, because I need to talk to Dave Neary for details on this since the LGM is not that far away now, but it would be really good if people are interested in doing it and I'm sure things can be arranjed.

Of course this is a bit of a last moment thing, but if you're living near Lyon or you are planning to go anyway, then this would be a great way to contribute and help promote Blender.

    Hi,

    I would be happy to help Rui. Unfortunatly, my English skills is a limit. I've already done some workshops, but it was in French. Perhaps if OlivierS could join me, we could make something together around Python or animation.

    But, as i told Rui, i'm living near Lyon and he can count on me if needed.

    raphael & Rui: If it's quite sure that I'll be at Lyon for attending the LGM, on the other hand I don't know if I would be able to stay up to the Sunday to collaborate for a workshop, unfortunately… If I am, we could improvise a small animation workshop:
    - IPO based animation
    - enveloppe based armature
    - Action/NLA editors

    with 1/2 hour for each worskshop… this is something that could be improvised on the spot without difficulty.

    Great to see some people interested.

    Raphael, even in French it would be a good thing, I can always mention it is in french so people don't get false hopes.

    OlivierS, that would be really great, if you can make it on Saturday I can try to get something up with Dave Neary. But if you aren't really sure you can make it, perhaps leave it for Sunday, even if it gets a part of one of my workshops, I rather have animation in it then just modelling, so I can reduce one workshop or two to squeeze you in.
