BlenderNewbies Tutorial Compilation DVD-ROM
BlenderNewbies author Kernon Dillon has published a compilation DVD of his excellent videotutorials. They offer high-resolution video and better sound quality than the on-line versions. It’s priced at $35 – $33.25 if you order before Monday.

For those interested, I’ve just completed a tutorial compilation DVD-ROM of the BlenderNewbies tutorials!
The disc contains almost all of the free video tutorials that are available at BlenderNewbies (over 14 hours)! The only videos not included are the very small ones, and those that have compatibility issues with the latest Blender releases.
Unlike the online versions, the videos on the Tutorial Compilation disc haven’t been scaled-down and compressed for online deliver. Most videos are at their original resolutions of 1024×768 and 800×600 with better sound quality. There are some that were originally recorded at 640×480.
Glitches and technical issues found in some of the online versions have been corrected as well.
All videos are in the popular MOV format that’s easily compatible with all platforms that run Blender. And, the contents interface is a simple html document viewable on all platforms.
I’ve done my best to pack it with as much helpful content as possible so, there are plenty of Bonus items in addition to the BlenderNewbies Tutorials!

Nice, but what are the licensing details for the DVD? is it like Creature Factory? i.e. Creative Commons?

Forget quicktime, its not popular on non apple computers it fucks up your os, instead make use of mpg4 or divx.
@ysvry: you can play Quicktime with VLC as well.
I agree with Bart, VLC can read most of the video formats.
The only weird thing I noticed using MOV is that colours are less saturated than encoded with other codecs.
This is so cool, I would like to learn to do this. My website has a bird theme and I would like to learn animation for my characters but do not know where to start and I do not know what programs and computer I would need. I have an ASI laptop, Microsoft Windows XP, can this be done on my laptop? I would also like to learn to make “E-cards” Where do I start?

@Judy Swink, you can use Blender on your laptop. Blender is a 3D animation program and with it you can make very sophisticated animations. You should start by visiting http://www.blender.org to download the free software and checking out some of the tutorials at the Blender wiki, such as these:

Once you’ve gotten started with the very basics, the DVD on this page and other resources are available to get more advanced.
