  2. 2 Laxy

    Woo! *following*

  3. 3 Jordan

It works, because I'm following you! :-P

  4. 4 Bart

@Nathan: well, we have our News Inbox for that: http://www.blendernation.com/submit-news/

Twitter is for, ehm, other stuff? But yes, I did use some twitter searches to find some rather cool Blender content already today!

  5. 5 Benderer

Thanks, but I think I'll pass on this one. Twitter is useless to me :)

  6. 6 stenosis

    twitter…. overrated and boring

  7. 7 dyf_

    oh no..
    even blendernation went to twitter..
the world is coming to an end

  8. 8 Mats Halldin

    RT @MatsHalldin is on.

  9. 9 roofoo

    twitter is dumb.

  10. 10 rogper

If I didn't know twitter is such a famous site I would never believed ;)

  11. 11 Thomas

    Oh no.
    It is indeed NOTwork.
Another sucky American way of beeing social.
    Sorry to say.
It's going downhill if they keep this up.

  12. 12 Chab

    Hi!

You could add a small box on Blendernation.com with the last twits. It could be just under the "Visit the Community Store ยป "

  13. 13 blender3dartist

Hm, I'm following you guys on twitter. And I beg to differ with all of you who who dislike titter. I can come in very handy sometimes.

  14. 14 Laxy

Amazed to hear the hate of Twitter on a 'community' related site. New communities and social portals are turning up everywhere and you always have a choice to join them. I guess people are always afraid of what they do not understand.

  15. 15 ccherrett

    Laxy,

It would seem you are the one who does not truly understand.

  16. 16 Laxy

ccherrrett~ Please enlighten me as to the reason why Blendernation joining Twitter will be to the detriment of how Blendernation functions as a news portal for the Blender Community.

  17. 17 ccherrett

    Laxy,

All I can say is have at it man.

  18. 18 Benderer

Laxy, I don't hate Twitter, I just think it has no place in my world :)

If I were the owner of Twitter, I'd seriously consider to rename it "BrainFart".

  19. 19 Max

    What is Twitter?

  20. 20 RH2

    haha it was inevitable

  21. 21 Joel

I think the reason there's so much misunderstanding about twitter, is that you really need to immerse yourself in it for a while to actually understand it. It's not really something you can look from the outside and really 'get it'. That's how I see it anyway :)

  22. 22 roofoo

I really fail to see the usefulness of knowing when somebody goes on a coffee break.

  23. 23 Peter

    roofoo,
    that's why you don't understand twitter :)

  24. 24 ddwagnz

Cool will add to my follow i guess :)
Twitter is just another phase in new ways of communicating to people over the net, but i think they have the right angle, its not too addictive unlike most social networking sites lately have become…

Fortunately Identi.ca grabs tweets from a twitter account.
Why not using identi.ca instead of twitter?

  26. 26 Amar

    no thanks I don't tweet, it's waistfull.

  27. 27 G7Pro

It cracks me up a little that all these people that think Twitter is such a waste of time and the downfall of proper communication, take the time to post(tweet) on here that they hate twitter.

  28. 28 Bart

It's always better if people have a strong opinion about something than no opinion at all :) Anyway, we already used Twitter for one issue: fixing the 'Greetbox' that I'm currently running as an experiment. Communication was fast.

Twitter is great for keeping up with some things. You just need to pick the right people to follow. Glad to see BlenderNation is joining in.
