Blendercast by Sagedread Unlimited

Sagedread Unlimited has set up a video collection of Blender video tutorials, completely free and viewable online.  They call it Blendercast.

Nathan M writes:

My developer's team, Sagedread Unlimited, has developed a website in which archives only the best blender tutorials around the net and categorizes them into over 18 different categories for easy finding of the blender tutorials that the user needs to find. We currently have around 30 tutorials on the site and more come daily.

Check it out here.

    Sounds cool, and is a good idea for keeping them together

    My only concern is that some people have made these videos to promote their own sites. I know they are on Vimeo and YouTube but I might try to ask for their blessing.

    first of all thanks for the efford. i'ld really like to see ONE central collection of goot tutorials.
    this one is lacking a rating system and imho the two tutorials i watched should not be considered as "the best" (e.g. the author recommended holding shift to achieve an exact 90 degree rotation instead of holding control).
    no offense

    It's not a bad collection.

    Might be worth it just to brush up here and there. Or to learn here and there.

    Go ahead and watch it.

    Im very happy to see blendercast featured on this website so thanks alot blendernation! Also, i am currently the only one managing this website and i have been VERY busy with anomaly lately, so i just want to remind you that if you know of any good tutorials, PLEASE email me the link at sagedread@yahoo.com. I will reward you for every 5 links you send me that aren't already featured on the site with 2 weeks of free advertising for your website!
    Thanks again!

    That's a really nice looking resource. My one beef with it from a web design standpoint is that it's too wide, necessitating horizontal scrolling on my desktop. Never underestimate how unappealing this is, especially given that there's plenty of blank black real estate that could be used to make the site more horizontally compact.

    please at least use normalize on the sound, if not mastering it. you can use the opensource app audacity.sf.net – didnt watch them full yet, have to wait until i have time, but they are recorded on really low sound volume.

    The best blender introduction videos from blenderunderground are missing on that site. Honestly those are the best ones you can find to get started with blender also better that the commercial stuff.

    Interesting site, good collection to start with for sure.

    G.o.D: Heh. You have a good point there – however, mastering seems to be something of a 'voodoo cult' to most – not even the web videos on the biggest German news channels are mastered and you have to turn the volume knob to fully clockwise in order to hear anything :)

    Do These guys have a contract with an opthalmologist ???

    Dark grey text on black background ?!??????

    html,body {
    background:#000000;
    color:#565050;
    }

    Sorry guys ! That's a BOLD "F" for design ! :-(

    @HeatingFreezer: I think Sagedread Unlimited bought the theme "TV Elements" from Press75.com. One mistake I found in the design was the little "More Video" buttons – they should say "More Videos" (notice the plural.) So anyhow, if the design is bad, it's not a fault in Sagedread's design abilities, just their choice of a theme.
