Puppet control is much better with simulated physics, but it also need to be mixed with a standard rig so that normal posing can happen. I am not sure if Bullet will allow you to violate a cyclic dependency, im using Open Dynamics Engine which does allow this.

Thomas,

This is super cool. Great Work. I agree with Blendroid, the jingle is masterful

NOObhaxor,

You didn't get the jingle? Thats suprising since your original and witty L33tsp3Ak name makes you seem like you would.

Hey thanks everyone, I'm glad you all dig this.

This was done before the physic update in 2.49 so I have yet to take advantage of the new constraints.
The Wiimotes themselves are poorly calibrated but they work well enough. But with OSC the possibilities for input devices is endless.
I have yet to figure out a smooth system for how to record the animation in stages. Seems like 2.5 might provide more avenues for this sort of thing.
Also it relies on GlovePIE and BlueSoliel, which are not open source
and have their own pretty massive quirks.

Anyway it was a fun project and I'll be getting back to it soon.
Thanks for checking it out.

Lol, I think the puppet is an expert at Breakdancing :D
Looks like a very interesting technique to - as Tadd Mencer said - create a basic animation :)

Looks good .. and honestly I can see this (once perfected) as an easy way to throw together a quick animation for later tweaking ... well done. Well done indeed.
