cebit_2007.jpgThorsten Schlüter has prepared a number of images for a the CeBIT 2007 booth of a company named 'AVM'. CeBIT is one of the largest (if not THE largest) consumer electronics tradeshows in Europe, leading to a giant exposure.

His work includes a number of visualizations of several products. It's not 100% CG – many of the images are a combination of photographs and 3D elements. The results look extremely professional though and when Thorsten writes that Blender is his workhorse, he isn't kidding!

The coolest part of his work is the giant banner of the booth that was rendered at 13000×8500px. To reach this resolution, he had to use the camera shifting trick that we mentioned earlier.

    Nice work. I'd like to know more about his workflow. He says he added the geometry on top of the picture taken by the photographer. These images look so… real …..

    I've gotten up to 3200*6400 before (exr float image) without blender keeling over. Multiple render processes could solve this (though once blender goes 64 bit, it's a non-issue anyway)

    Excellent, Thorsten! The image enhancing use you show is exactly why I am staggering up Blender's learning curve. I now see I can do much, much more than I had originally hoped to do with this amazing program. lol- Print prep images to 13000px should do it! :o)
