in an italian site you can find a very interesting script; unfortunately, the autohr is not able to transalate it in english; some people are helping him; and usually people does not know italian language...
http://www.blender.it/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3171&start=260
here the same person (japy) put a first idea for parametric objects:
http://www.blender.it/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5029&highlight=procad
i think that with more coordinated work a better architectural implementation would be possible right now
sorry for my poor and fun english...

We need better NURBS tools for CAD, even just better spline tools, such as offset curves. Trimming of NURBS surfaces and using surfaces of different resolutions is pretty crucial. There are today very bad NURBS tools in the free software domain.

Great site!

The more architecture work that gets done with Blender, the more chance it might make a replacement for CAD =] It has near enough keyboard shortcuts to be...

Jasper: I tried doing the same but using a local shopping center/mall and ended up with a department store for ants.

Well; the biggest thing I have learned from Blender was that meters en centimeters don't matter for a 3d-object . It's all about the proportion of an object and his relation to the environment it's placed in.
Until I tried to draw my house from the original drawing. Then I discovered that it was difficult to make an exact replica of my house in 3D; because of the lack of real-life-measurement-scale in Blender. And also the global/local coordinates that has alwayas been confusing to me. But maybe i'm just making a problem and haven't found the solution to make an exact copy of my house.
Blend on!

This is a very good site! The content is continuously growing and evolving since it was created. It is very cool to have a place where all architects that use blender can come and share resources. When I get a bit less busy (read: lazy) I'll upload a couple of things there too...

Nice links :)

Just for reference, here's a small overview over architecture-related things for blender in the blender-wiki:
