The Blender Foundation have announced the 9th Blender Conference in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. If you've never been there before: it's Blender Walhalla for three days - you'll never again see so many Blender friends in one place!
Ton Roosendaal writes:
Almost a tradition by now: the last weekend of October is Blender Conference. It's end-of-daylight-saving weekend, one hour more to party!
Sounds great :)
There are a few novelties this year:
- Blender developers get free tickets! The only requirement for this being that you either have SVN write access or that you have submitted 2 patches that have been applied.
- Regional or topical meetings.
- A marketplace, allowing companies to show off their work or business.
- The Blender Foundation is also looking for sponsors for the event.
More details can be found on Blender.org.
Will we see you there?

This year I'm definitely going!
Awesome, marketplace seems like a cool place to meet pro's. Last year was great, I'm definitely going again :D
Man, I wish I was going. :/
Awesome idea to give the developers a free ticket!
Not being a developer myself, but I think that's a great way to show their work is greatly appreciated.
I hope I can go.... :s
Blender Conference is evolving...
It's very effective.
I might go to this, although I've never been abroad :P
so worth going to, I learnt so much in a such a short time back in 2008.
hey when are we going to have another Blender conference in Vancouver?? that was so great.
may i suggest a better way (than the last edition) of setting up conference videos (eg: easily downloadable (torrent) - not streaming quicktime) for people not going there...?
