Community News » Introducing particle fluids parametters function (and 49 more)

The first Blender animation challenge, held over at Blenderartists.org, has finished taking entries and is now in the voting stage of the challenge. There’s a huge amount of entries, so it will be a bit of work sorting through them to find a favorite to vote for.

You might remember the previous article on Blendernation, bringing awareness to the new animation challenge. Voting is open until the 11th of January, so theres a reasonable amount of time to sort through the 46 entry animations!

The voting thread is here, links to all of the entrys are listed on the page along with a voting poll.

Hey, you should probably change that link to:
    http://blenderartists.org/forum/showpost.php?p=1287976&postcount=1

Throwing the people directly to the polling results may influence their votes ever so slightly :)

    No problem Zecc, link updated.

I think it may be a point for future competitions to hide the scores till the end. This system can jeopardise voting through word of mouth, “oh check out #294, he/she’s winning so far” etc.

Not sure if the standard forum system has that feature, one for the moderators to think about.

slashdot has a fun poll and the top two options statistically get the majority of votes, due to their location.
Voting of this style should always order randomly and not show scores.

Okay, maybe I’m stupid. How exactly am I supposed to vote? I don’t see a poll.

  7. 7 paparkin

I’m with Scottie, how do we vote?

    @ Scottie & paparkin

Click the link up the top right of the screen to be taken to the full thread, where you are able to see the results and vote.

  9. 9 Laxy

Link at the top-right corner of the page takes you to the proper thread including the poll.

I remember from that earlier article that interest was waning. It seems the mods succeeded in bringing in more participants.

Thanks for the help Alex and Laxy.
