Blender Animated Television Series

We just have been contacted by Michael Thoenes, which is the Animation Supervision of Studio 125.

Here are a few words about the project, by Mr. Thoenes:

“For the past 6 months I have been working as the production manager/animation supervisor for a new studio in Huntsville, Alabama, USA. Studio 125 is producing an animated television series called “Me & Jessie D.” We have a staff of 10 in the animation department and Blender is an important part of what we are doing here at the studio. We use Blender primarily for modeling and UV unwrapping and have been able to successfully integrate blender in our pipeline along with Maya and Modo. Blender’s obj import/export and the FBX export allow us to use Blender side by side with these applications. We also use Blender to create shape keys and then pass them back to Maya to apply as blend shapes to our characters. Blender’s sculpt tools and proportional edit tools are greatly envied by some Maya users in the studio.”
