@Nixon: It is a really big accomplishment. But I personally find the bearubs really frightening :) That's probably because I'm an adult with no kids, so I'm not used to such massive amounts of cuteness or child-centric content at all. I'm sure this is great for children though. I'm just one of those people who get creeped out by exaggerated cuteness.

Anyway, my point is I wouldn't be surprised if much of the criticism stems from similar feelings on other people's part. And, well, it does need quite a bit of work, though people should really be giving constructive criticism, not negative feedback. And they should keep in mind that most likely *they* have never made something that good of that length, and it really is quite a big accomplishment.

I have to agree with David Lindsley and cmw.
Some (luckily few) people seem to get rude as soon as noone is decapitated, or no adult content and explicit themes are displayed in a clip. I wonder how they hope to get a professional acceptance with such an approach to certain subjects.
Blendernation is meant as a platform to inform on all kinds of blender related aspects, so i'm shocked about some rather idiotic comments on a obviously well adjusted artwork for kids.
My godchild (almost 3) seemed to enjoy the video very much tho she doesn't even understand any english word at all!
I hope people joined in on this since there was a call for participation along with this thread, if i was sure to be experienced enough already to help i'D do so.

I've watched this twice now and I don't know why people are being so critical. Perhaps those people don't have experience with small children. I rather liked it.

I agree the animation could be smoother in some places, but I find the song to be catchy and well done, and the overall premise to be quite well executed.

Hours upon hours of effort must have gone in to this already.

Keep up the good work!

David/Tim, yes, it's cute, and a non-critical child audience will accept it. If you want to really animate though, get yourself a copy of Tony White's book "The Animator's Workbook". You might also like to look at "Timing for Animation" by Harold Whitaker and John Halas, and "Acting for Animators" by Ed Hooks, Brad Bird and Mike Caputo.

Tim, this is a very nice bit of work, sadly there are a few on here that do not understand what a Target Audience is, I showed this my nice earlier today shes 4 and she loves it, its even replaced her favorite song "wind the bobbin up" so you hit the mark!
Overall a fun and enjoyable xmas song.
Send it off you could be sitting pretty at christmas.
