Eich News Online has released the result of their first international contest. This release includes works completed in various CG software programs of which two where done in Blender (plus other software) and involved artists from thirteen countries . This is a free download at 107 Megs and consists of thirty works in the Adobe PDF format. It is full of stunning pictures, wire frames and texture breakdowns that you can study in addition to being nice artwork to have in your library.

Chile: We’re making a parallel Blender Conference here in Chile the 23rd of October. It is a one day conference and is part of a bigger event called Encuentro Linux, so we’re actually making a pretty big event. The Blender Conference is one of the activities of five, from the Universities organizing the event for the 23rd.
We have just finished a music video for the band “Jack Daw”. They are the winners of a music contest called “Moviet” All the close-ups on the birds are made completely in Blender, and some of the “bird crowds” are made with Blender, others in Adobe AfterEffects. The video have been awarded for “Best Music Video 2009″ in “TellUs Movie Festival”
Rajiv Mudgal makes Ads and Documentaries and also made two animated serials as well as several short animated films. He recently did four ads for the India Post last year (which are being telecasted all over India right now.) These were done completely in Blender. Apart from these, he has also done several promotional pieces in Blender (mainly Stills).
We recently delivered a 3d sequence made in Blender for a new TV show on Dutch television for the Eftleng Efteling (a large Dutch theme park).
Our work was a 30sec and 10sec 3d sequence created 100% in Blender for the intro and outro sequence of a live action TV show called Klaas Vaak, about a wizard who draws in sand.
