The annual Libre Graphics Meeting conference is getting really close now. The event is taking place May 27-30 In Brussels, in De Pianofabriek. The Blender community might be interested in attending it for a number of reasons.
A bit more than a year later, some update on the Blender for Robotics project! Behind the scenes, a lot of things did happen over the last months. Blender for Robotics is an effort from several European robotics lab to build over the Blender Game Engine a set of tools for roboticians, including a new, multi-purpose simulator.
I'm going to start a Blender users group and have our first meeting this Thursday April 22nd at 7pm! It will be at the Parker Library in Parker, Colorado.

The results from CGenie's Big CG Survey 2010 are in. Blender did quite well in a lot of areas.
A cloud generator script has recently been completed to aid in the creation of clouds in Blender 2.5. It uses boxes to allow an artist to individually sculpt each cloud to the size and shape of the aritists liking. I cloud can be created with all materials added in literally two mouse clicks.
After last year's succes, we are proud to announce the second German Blender Conference, the BlenderDay/2010 in Eislngen/Fils. It will take place on the 17th/18th of July.
