The MascotCapsule plugin exports data created in Blender to BAC (model) data and TRA (animation) data. The exported BAC and TRA files can then be used with MascotCapsule.

SAIA 2006 In São Paulo, Brasil
Looks like São Paulo Brasil is becoming a hub of Blender activity. After Game Cultura in July, São Paulo will be hosting SAIA 2006 at the Instituto de Artes da UNESP (a government funded public university). At the conference (which has several kinds of workshops), there will be Blender presentations as well as discussions on art. There will be Blender related activities October 24 and 25 10:00am to 12:00pm. Check out the flier below or the website:

Dedalo-3D, the makers of MakeHuman (an open-source, stand-alone software program for modeling of three-dimensional humanoid characters) recently posted two items on their website that are worth a look.
Frame/Time Counter Display Tool
Michael Thoenes has a nice frame/time counter display tool for Blender. This allows you to ID your animation frames with a frame or time counter by placing one or all of the counters in front of your camera and rendering.Blender Gets Irregular Shadow Buffers
Normally we would wait for the October CVS report we will post at the end of the month, but this item was too cool to keep quiet. Ton recently committed a new type of shadow buffer to the CVS that takes advantage of some very interesting new methods to give Blender greater functionality.
