You might have seen this in Ben Dansie's Durian application demo reel (after being selected as one of the final Durian team members), but he has recently come up with a very cool way to make flames and fire using Blender.
Heres something cool, a new game being made using Blender for all the 3D work, and the Unity game engine. The smooth and professional style of the game is promising and it looks like it will be fun to play, with plenty of gore :)

Another quality tutorial from CGCookie, this one is by Kernon Dillon and its about using some neat techniques in Blender to 'paint' objects into a scene.
It was announced very recently (on the 6th of April) that the Blender Game Engine will be used to make a third person action thriller called Fire Wire District 22. The game is being produced by Entertainment Arts Research Inc and its subsidiary Twilight 22 Studio based in Atlanta, Georgia USA.

Jordan Harris (Leonardo812 on BA) has completed a short film, using Blender for all the 3D work. Most of the film is done using the stop motion technique with Lego characters and environments. This has been combined with 3D animation to make a very cool film.
RBGProd Studios from Switzerland have just finished a detailed animation for a Swiss French company (website) The animation relies a lot on camera footage, featuring an animated robot (named H7) who has been composed into the footage.
