Kingsport’s First International Art Show – Until December 20th
The Kingsport Art Guild (remember their workshops?) has organised Kingsport’s First International Art Show which features a number of Blender artworks. Byron Kindig reports on the opening reception.
I wanted to let you know how the opening reception went for the Kingsport’s First International Digital Art Show. We had a good number of people attend. Many of them were artists, but few use or even own computers. This show with prints from various artists around the world was my way of exposing them to this new media. I have put up a quick page with photos of the show’s opening receptions, with links to the artists’ bios. Most of the images were made with Blender, although the show was open to any artist using 3D or 2D software. As I spoke with the guests, it was clear that they were impressed with the cooperation and generosity of the Blender community, and the quality of the images that were produced. Even the most traditional of artist were excited about the show and are looking forward to next year’s show. Many thanks to all who made this happen.
