2.43 Splash Screen Contest

The 2.43 Splash Screen Contest has begun – yet another chance to earn your place in Blender history!

soo… it's that time again, yes, yes.. you guessed it.. (or maybe the thread title gave it away) splash screen contest!
so, you have again a chance of becoming part of blender history. imagine, every time people open blender, they would see your picture and think: "one day, i hope i can make such wonderful art too, as this splash screen here"…
rules for the splash screen contest are simple:
- don't talk about splash screen contest
- use template (download here)
- don't overlap splash screen area. make your picture fit in the given space.
- don't use blender logo.
- don't use suzanne.
- you can use old works, or make completely new.
- you can participate with more than one image, but, do not make millions of variations of the same idea, just make a good one.
- it has to look awesome.
- post your works on this thread.
- keep thread clean, entries and questions about competition only.
Deadline is in the end of this month (november).

BCon4 is set for the end of December, so if that schedule keeps, we should see a new release sporting a new splash around the New Year!

Until there is some time to the deadline – some very intresting splash are shown.
Personaly i like the " Starry night " splash. It shows the "booah" effect perfect in that face.
So lets see what this blenderheads are showing next…..i saw there some boxes and a
suzanne…get them!!! ;-)

The template download link doesnt seem to work for me… It just shows a blank white box as if JS Lightbox is trying to load an image but fails.

If you look in the BlenderArtists thread on page 6, kitsu has posted the 2.43 template .blend.
Sorry if you already knew this, but I thought I'd pass this along.
The template includes the 'Blender 2.43' Header. Its not just measurements(thats how everyone who entered has the 2.43 header in their pictures)…'how did they get that?' you wondered.

Err OK, seems like it didn't like something about my previous comment; anyway, the download link doesn't work (host not found).
I've fixed the template link.
@Alexander: links are automatically added to the moderation queue when they contain more than two hyperlinks. Just a measure against spammers, nothing more.
intrr: hmm, i dont know where you got that link, it's for old site (elysiun) and 2.42 version, so yes, that is naturally wrong. but looks like link is fixed here now so.. start your blender!

Alright, here's my contribution. I made it for 2.42… about 1 week late… Here you go.

There are some very good submittions there… Looking through them again, I don't think my entries hold a chance.
My favorites are: Vitaliy's, then one of those wu-mans ones and ofcorse i must not leave out the starry night zoooomed! in that order ofcorse… >.>
