"How to use cycles even if you hate cycles(as I did)"

Not that long ago I made this tutorial to help out any remaining Blender Internal users out there, and believe me we are still out there. Whats funny is how the principled shader addressed so many of the issues I had with the cycles engine, the node based system being a particular thorn in my side. And in 2.79 the addition of the shadow catcher filled in the last couple of gaps for me as a user.

  1. Is there any reason to use blender internal on anything?
I use it on motion graphics and some projects that are supposed to look cartoonish or just need to render quickly.
is Blender internal good for those uses or does cycles do those better/faster

    • nowadays the only reason to really use it is speed, cycles is still a little slower. but as i said in the video i had a real problem with the cycles workflow for a very long time hence why i made the video =)
