Blender Sighting: Using Blender to design tent prototypes

3

φuetzal2 caught a glimpse of Blender on the French TV5 Monde channel.

I just caught by chance a Blender appearance as I went past a TV screen and they talked about a mountain sports brand innovating and creating new tents and other accessories. And as they talked about prototypes, we had a glimpse of a tent model. In Blender. Yay!

So there's the Blender shot:

Quechua tents prototyped with Blender.

Check it out while it's still available as replay! (from 00:41:13 to 00:41:15 - video may not be available for everyone).

There you go! A little Blender spotting while it's not too common! ;·)

  2. Yes! funny isn't it? :·)

I wonder what they use it for. Maybe to better visualize and adapt the size of the tents.

I like to use MakeHuman for this purpose too, it lets you have a good size reference.

And they've got even 2 Blender windows open! So they must be heavy Blender users! ;·D
