The art of Sergio Raposo Fernández

5

Sergio Raposo Fernández work doesn't have many straight lines - buildings are all crooked and everything is curved. I really like the fantasy-atmosphere this generates in his work.

(You may recognise some of his work as I've featured it here before).

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Wow, cool style!

Everything is very realistic as far as designs and materials, but then certain things have their shape heavily exaggerated to make it cartoony - it kind of tickles the brain. I also like your detail into story elements, like how there are personal items placed, or how items are placed in a certain way to make it look like it's actually being used during the hustle-and-bustle of an off-screen character's day; and the wear in the environments is great.

Not to get macabre or violent, but I would love to see your take on integrating your visual storytelling in a "crime forensic nutshell"-like image.

    • Thanks Reavenk!
Jeje, yes, it could be well, the crime scene. Really it is a good story for a hidden object game. I have to think in it jeje...
Thank you very much and all the best.
