Product visualisation with Blender & Indigo

The idea of WOODEN Germany is to make awesome glowing furniture made out of wood. So far, apart from quite unique projects in our region, we made different kinds of lamps, where all the light actually shines through a real thin layer of wood, which is then laminated onto glass. As we offer more variations than we can produce at once, we had to work with visualisations so the customer gets a glimpse of what is actually possible, and sees the different light colors produced by different kinds of wood.

And because Evermotion offers nicer locations than our homes, we decided to give it a go with Blender & Indigo. And in fact Indigo simulates the light shining through the wood so well we use it visualize woods we don't work with yet!
