Say hi to my new character Bot. a concept based on references from several robots that I liked. some of you may know which I most favored. Mainly used blender for everything. especially the modeling which I did totally in blender. with some help from tools like the knife tool. really help with getting smooth and robust to go well with the weight painting later on.
For the textures I did get some help from softwares like photoshop so as to add the metals details such as paint color correction. adjusting the gamma or contrast of some textures that I downloaded. also with some of the specular/gloss textures to make it more metallic. The character does render really fast in cycles render mode. its really low polly. and the materials are easy to render because I've baked most of the maps to make it easy on the render engine and get quicker results.
All the texture maps are included in the blend file. Including roughness map, Diffuse map, normal maps and Ambient occlusion map. named everything in a way that you can basically filter everything that belongs to the Bot character by just typing "BOT_" in the filter tool for any 3d app. So it can be easier to navigate to the textures, model and materials that belong to the bot.

Do you mind if I only see Atlas from Portal 2 in your 3D model?
