Blender at the Beijing Maker Faire 2016

What if Blender could become one of the preferred tools to keep and even enhance creativity among kids and parents together? At 3D Roundhouse we are working on it.

A few days ago, the Beijing Maker Faire was attracting lots of people. Many Chinese makers and some foreigners one from all ages had a Rendezvous with art, technology, inventiveness and fun.

Chinese people learn fast and many of them can adapt very quickly to a new situation. This is the case with education. More and more parents are aware that the regular education doesn't provide all the tools required to enjoy their coming life once kids will have grown up and joined the work market.

3D Roundhouse Loves Blender

That's exactly where Blender and the company I co-founded come into play. Lots of kids and parents came to the Beijing Maker Faire. It was amazing. All kids and parents came to have fun and play with the future. Many parents were also at the Maker Faire to find ideas and solutions to help their kids get the knowledge and skills that will allow them to have a great life. In China the competition is fiercer than in many other countries and kids will have to find a way to differentiate themselves from the crowd (in China the world crowd takes all its meaning).

Blender is Good for Your Future

beijing-mf-graphicAt 3D Roundhouse we use Blender to teach families how to 3D modeling for 3D printing. We believe, researchers and CEOs too, that creativity and critical thinking will be pivotal skills. The ones that have it will enjoy a much more fulfilling life than the ones who don't and are unable to think out of the box.

And Blender is the right software to get that result. During our workshops and on our website, parents and kids enjoy it a lot and have fun with it.

I want to finish by saying thank you:

Thank you Maker Faire people and Beijing Maker Faire organizers to help spreading the belief that we don't always have to wait after somebody else to get something done. We are all Makers!

Thank you amazing Blender developers, thank you great Blender community and thank you my dear Ton for making it possible to have such a great tool to accomplish such a great goal: Helping kids enjoy their future.

Have a Great Day!

  1. Great News! We have had a booth at the Kingsport Mini Maker Faire for the past 4 years for our Tri-Cities Blender User's Group. It is always a lot of fun and we meet a lot of interesting people. It is a great way to let people know about Blender and our club that gives support to those in North East Tennessee who are interested in learning how to use it.
