In this tutorial, we go over a technique to add real-time reflections to your games in the blender game engine. This can be used in the form of water puddles or actual mirrors within the game.
This method uses a mask texture, mirror texture and diffuse texture to give that extra realistic look.

Tim,
thanks so much for this tutorial... amazing. I have been following you for some time, not exactly ready to get into BGE, however between you, John Hamilton and maybe a few more... you are giving great help and insight. Thanks so much. I am off in many directions and make a point to settle down occasionally. Modeling is my favorite. I make test files of videos I watch and use similar... step notions like I recall Blender Foundation would use. One line for an operation, actions seperated... by elipse... dots is my way. Now, I can come back later to have the video and a line by line step to guide me. Always taking the advice to experiment and getting close to that now.

Glad you found it useful! With BGE being replenished in 2.8 along with the armoury engine there is a lot of cool stuff happening in the future. I started out with simulations as being my favorite but then moved to compositing and finally BGE.
If you extend yourself far enough you will find something you are very passionate about! Keep exploring!
Many thanks for that tutorial, it works perfectly!
