QuickCompositor assists with basic compositing steps

6

BlenderBrit presents a useful node group that contains all the basic compositing parameters, making it easy to quickly set up your shots.

Compositing is typically a time consuming and often difficult part of the scene process for new comers to Blender, sometimes even for those with more experience. So I put together a little tool to assist with the basic compositing steps that are often used. You can download it here.

Features

  • Full color balancing controls with hue, saturation, brightness and contrast.
  • Support for Mist passes including colour and amount of mist.
  • Support for AO passes
  • Support for Emit passes with Bloom
  • Multiple effects including general bloom, vignette and lens effects.

  1. Thank you for the brief yet clear explanation of a somewhat daunting subject, with examples and guidelines for each control. Very well done.

  2. Thanks for providing this. This is much neater than my previous general-purpose compositing noodle, and much more functional.

    • Going to be updating when I get the chance, had a few good feature suggestions from community members. Namely better color grading elements and hopefully something to help with shadow catching. Pleased to hear you're finding it useful.
