World Blender Meetup Day Starts this Saturday!


11 Blender Meetups will take place around the world this Saturday. If you can't make it, you can join them remotely!

World Blender Meetup Day is almost here! Starting at midnight, Los Angeles time, on February 27, we will begin our livestream at

We're thrilled to report that we have 11 cities joining us to broadcast their Blender meetings and presentation sessions online including:

  • Amsterdam, NL
  • Dublin, Ireland
  • Oslo, Norway
  • Stamford, USA
  • Raleigh-Durham, USA
  • Minneapolis, USA
  • Los Angeles, USA
  • San Francisco, USA
  • Vancouver, Canada
  • Portland, USA


In addition, the event will include sessions from artists and organizations such as:

  • The Blender Institute (two Q&A sessions)
  • Sean Kennedy from Open Visual FX
  • Oliver Villar from
  • Theory Animation
  • Quarnot Computing


The event follows the sun west from the International Date Line with local cities hosting meetings at their normal times starting with Melbourne and ending with Portland. This means live online sessions will occur during local city user group meeting times and recorded Blender user group content will play in between those meeting.
