How To Create Toon Style Animation In Blender

4

Sergei Prokhnevskiy is making the switch from Cinema4D to Blender and shares his new passion with a cartoon style animation.

Hey guys! I'm a motion graphics designer based out of Charlotte, NC, Usually Cinema 4D is my main tool for 3D, however, lately I've been developed a strong interest in Blender. I'm amazed what it has to offer and I still can't believe it's free. I decided to give back to Blender and the community by recording a video tutorial. In this tutorial, I'll be showing you how easy it is to create a simple toon style animation in Blender using Freestyle. After watching this tutorial, you should know more about Freestyle, Simple Deform Modifier, and working in Graph Editor/Dope Sheet. I hope you find it useful.

Here is the link to the tutorial.

Thanks,
Sergei

  1. Great tutorial! Also, I use an addon called Commotion, it makes the life so much easier to make motion graphics, that I've been slowly migrating my workflow from After Effects to Blender, and I find it much more comfortable to use :)
