This year's FIRST Robotics Game Animation (FRC Stronghold - seen below) was created using Blender and Cycles!

FIRST Robotics is an amazing competition where high school students are given 6 weeks to design and build a 150 pound robot to accomplish this year’s challenge. There are around 3000 teams competing from around the world for the world champion title. (More information here: http://www.firstinspires.org/robotics/frc)
Each year the season is announced with an animation. This year's animation was created by a small team at AutomationDirect.com using Blender, and it was rendered in Cycles. Overall, it took around 2000 CPU hours for render time, and the animation took three months from first concept to completion.
We'd love to hear what you think!
