John Mervin's 'The Optimist' is a gorgeously animated, wonderful story. What a treat at the end of this year!
“In this Visual Poem of Contentment, a young book lover tries desperately to get the book everyone else has."
John writes:
SPOILER ALERT
2 years ago when I was 16, I had the idea of a story that visually portrayed the perspective of someone who has no vision, a blind girl. I found the ironic use of the visual medium intriguing. So, all through Last year, I decided to practice the craft of filmmaking and create it myself.”
It is finally here. After a Year of blogging and animating, I finally have a short film to show for it! it is perfect? No. Far from it. But it was quite an expirience and I personally am satisfied with the result. Thank you all for following me through my process of making this. Enjoy!

vary cool animation, but i only got one question what software did you use for the music?
My friend wrote some in garage band, and others was just my keyboard.

Hello, did you make an optimistic animation? (I asked because I do not speak English well.) If you made it, please, and if possible, fully explain what you mean by making it. I want to know what was your goal in making it and the last post of the animation.
