Metin Seven used Blender to illustrate a new Dutch children's book.
Metin writes:
During several weeks I’ve worked hard on a series of 3D children's book illustrations featuring crocheted amigurumis by the Dutch crochet talent Dendennis.
The book will appear in May 2016, and includes a bedtime story, my illustrations, and patterns to crochet the featured characters.
Nearly all characters and props were modeled and painted using ZBrush, but some elements were added in Blender. Cycles was used for the materials, lighting and renderings.
Best regards from the Netherlands,
— Metin

Aw man, that's great! I love seeing blender used in unexpected places. My favorite model is the monkey thing.
Thanks Jesse! Nice to read that you like the illustrations.
Looks nice, it's a really original way of working with blender.
Cool
Thank you!
Hey Metin, these are great. They remind me a little of that tutorial Josh Maul did on Blender Cookie of the elephant stuffy. Similar texture. Nice work!
