Amber galleon

Very cool work by Giuliano D'angelo.

This is the first image for me, sperimenting amber material. A sail ship galleon model trapped into an amber cristal. I really feel the wish to "fossilize" more than this, and I'll probably realize a serie of different subjects frozen into the shiny material: some serious stillifes and for sure some ironic subjects also.
Some hints for the material? that's not too much about nodes setting, but more about the things around it and the things inside it: particles, skratches, embedded fragments reflecting and refracting. It's like star wars: if you make it dirty you make it right.
