Video: Bruce Willis

8

Cesar89 modeled this Bruce Willis model, did his own facial motion capture and animated a stunning video. Well done!!

This is a 3D facial reconstruction of the actor Bruce Willis. Done with Blender 2.76 in cycles render. For the animation, I have used a homemade Motion Capture. I know that it's not perfect because sometimes seems to have paralysis , but this is a work in progress. I hope you like it !!!!

Render time 128 hours, 1000, samples NVIDIA GFORCE gtx780ti x2 CPU i7 , 6 cores.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Stephen Norrington on

this looks fantastic!, particularly impressed by the glint along the intersection of eyeball and lower lid - can you explain how you achieved this? is it a edge on the lid with an emission shader or an actual reflection, or a post effect, or perhaps a booleaned intersection between eyeball and lid that has an emission/glossy shader? - whatever it is it looks amazing, as does the whole model - cheers, Stephen Norrington

  2. An excellent piece of work, all three videos are mesmerizing. I find it amazing and inspiring to think that the tool set that created this is professional and enthralling production is sitting on my machine.
