Free e-book on digital 3D facial reconstruction with Blender is released in Brazil

2

Cicero Moraes has published a new e-book on facial reconstructions using Blender. For now, it's available in Portuguese only, but English and Spanish versions are coming up.

3D Designer Cícero Moraes and Forensic Dentist Paulo Miamoto have applied Blender to digital facial reconstructions in forensic and historical contexts, such as St. Anthony, St. Mary Magdalene and the 3 Peruvian Saints, St. Rose of Lima, St. Juan Macías and St. Martin de Porres.

Aiming at a wide diffusion of these open source techniques, they have released the Digital 3D Facial Reconstruction Manual. This e-book is totally free of charge and can be downloaded (after subscription) here.

Although only a Portuguese version is available, the author already work on translations to English and Spanish.

  1. It's a very generous attitude from my fellow countryman! Sometimes, in a open source community, we see this happens: people that use a software professionally share the knowledge achieved with the community. Thank you, Cícero!
