Boxy The Box - Free iOS/Android Game
Animator Eoin Duffy, creator of The Missing Scarf, has released his first game – Boxy the Box. I just spent a bit of time with the game and it's good fun (although it does make me a little nervous ;-)<!--more-->

Boxy the Box is a 2D game (fake 3D) running on Adobe Air with graphics from Blender 3D.
All box characters were sketched up directly in Blender. This quickly allowed me to see if an idea worked or not. The vast majority didn’t but blender allowed for super quick modelling and testing.
Each box was then connected to a pre-animated empty and exported as an image sequence to be used in Adobe Air. A pre-rendered sequence allowed for the inclusion of motion blur, shadows and other features which would of been processor heavy in realtime 3D.
All squishable characters followed a similar pattern, created from scratch directly in Blender and then exported as a flat image sequence.
