Felipe Esquivel's 'Azul Maduro' is a delightful reminder of childhood memories.
We finished this short earlier this year, and has been touring the festival circuit (more misses than hits) since then. We want to share it with the community and want to know your opinion. It was made with very little budget; a NIkon D800 DSLR, a couple of actors and of course Blender and Cycles.

I have watched several short movies, but the authors seems to like dark and sad movies. Ok, it's art, but I prefer positive messages.

~ Wow! That really was wonderful... and that little blue guy just grows on you. His expressions and everything... This is one of the best shorts that I have seen in a good long whiles.

This is a gem.
The quality of the animation is high and the lighting is beautifully matched to the live action. The best part is how expressive the blue character is, he really conveys emotion which is hard to do, and I couldn't help liking him long before the movie was over. Very well done.
