Did you see last week's article 'Skin in Cycles. Emily 2.1'? Blenderrendersky took Lee Perry-Smiths's famous scan and did a pretty good job at shading it in Cycles.
Blenderrendersky writes:
I tried to create a realistic looking skin shader in the BGE using Lee Perry-Smiths headscan. I think it turned out quite nicely, especially for a realtime rendering.
Here´s the downloadlink for the Blendfile, though it´s quite large.
Hope you enjoy.

I thought I'd seen it before!
Yeah I guess some people shaded the head already for bge too. Never saw yours before. I will check it out. Does yours feature SSS though?
It was back when I was a little newer to blender. I basically just used color ramp tricks to get a sort of SSS type of effect.
