Jonathan Lampel takes a look at RenderMan rendering in Blender in this videotutorial.
The PxrDisney shader is RenderMan's default for a reason- it's fast, easy, and extremely versatile. It's the ubershader of RenderMan, and great for basic solid objects like simple metals and plastics.
Check out the awesome documentation here for more examples.

The connection direction backwards to everything else in Blender nodes? What's up with that?
Er... what? Seems to be going left to right... like everything else in Blender node view... and every other app with a nodal ui....:-|
Look closely they have an endnode bxdf
their big node seams much like a big combo from several cycles nodes.
which isnt that bad, we often need multipe nodes just to mix bsdf or glossies.
In fact i've wondered why there isnt something like that in blender so we can do with less nodes p material ( have option to use such a node or to mix everything).
Compositing with Blender renderman and
transparent material dersi please
