Jonathan Lampel gives a very in-depth overview of the creation of his work "Freedom" in this video.

Jonathan writes:

Hi all, I wanted to share a behind the scenes video on my process of creating artwork. It's a little different for everybody, but I hope it can help someone stuck in a creative rut or who has a hard time getting started. I give my thoughts behind the main idea, composition, and lighting.

  1. I am missing atmospheric elements in the render and any DoF. This makes the render look flat. Also the focal point(s) are lost, because of values in the image. You planned it well but in the end it doesn't show. Everything is kinda lit the same, everything has the same color palette.
