Here's a quick project I did for the Weekly CG challenge on FB. this was 90% modeled and rendered in blender. other work was done in a bunch of external softwares I don't need to mention... except that post was in Photoshop (duh) It's a Candy Tree. Enjoy!
I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

Now I'm curious... what's that other software you don't need to mention?
hey man... well If I recall correctly it was Xnormal, Gimp, and a tiny bit of Zbrush and Mudbox (for the bark texture diffuse map) :)
