Edge node is image based edge detection. It can be used on its own or combined with Freestyle and backface culling method. We released an updated version of Edge node, version 1.2.4. Initial release was made public back in 2012. Current version is significantly smaller, faster and produces better quality edges. The article discusses the weaknesses of previous implementations, improvement on current version and how to use it.
Edge node is released under CC0 license.
