Find out how to use keyed particles to morph between particle systems! Super useful when transforming one object into another, or switching between physics types.

I think this would be better described as a demonstration, not a tutorial. There is lots of 'do this' but very little 'what this does' or 'why you need to do this' type explanations. Having watched it I still have no idea what a keyed particle system is. Perhaps it should explain *what* a keyed particle system is, *how* it works, and then how to use it?

Good point! I'll try to do a better job of explaining in the future. A keyed particle system basically piggybacks on other particle systems, and you can animate (keyframe, hence the name) between multiple systems.

  2. That's fascinating. I'm constantly amazed at the capabilities of Blender. Just when I think I have a pretty good grasp of Blender, I find another tidbit like this of which I was blissfully unaware. Now my bliss is shattered and I have hours of exploration before me. Thanks, Jonathan, for ruining my planned restful weekend. (Insert emoticon smiley here).
