Daniel X produced this track and music video - a huge project for a single person!

Hi I am Daniel X.

I am an independent recording artist and self taught 3D enthusiast. For my new single release I wanted to create a music video like I do my music, entirely on my own.

"Spindafloor" took me about nine months to create with one I7 using Audacity,Blender, and Cycles Render Engine. I was working seven days a week doing ten to twelve hour shifts a day.My main concern on this project was trying to achieve a low sample high quality render somewhat absent of fireflies while retaining the glossy reflective properties of the materials.I achieved this by hyper focusing on proper lighting placement within each scene as well as using a indirect and direct clamping setting of 60 within cycles render setting throughout the project.

With these settings I was able to create a fairly good low firefly render using only 1000 samples per frame. Although some scenes took seven to ten days to render the wait was worth it for the higher quality allowed me to offer the final product in a 4k and 2k resolution. My goal with this project was to prove that with a little ambition,a touch of creativity, and the help of open source software that it is still possible to be a contender in todays world of animation studios and big budget recording company productions.
