Using the geometry input node in Cycles materials

0

Noah Paessel explains how to create animation effects using the geometry input node.

I am always looking for ways to avoid unwrapping my blender mesh UVs for my cycles materials. Procedural textures and shaders are tempting, but often look lifeless because they are full of repeating and predictable elements. Textures should relate to the geometry they cover.

I put together a video tutorial explaining how to use the geometry node to spice up your procedural materials, you can find it on my blog.
