Protocube scanned, processed and redesigned a shoe for 3D printing. It looks amazing!
Protocube srl writes:
We realized a faithful reproduction of the Superga 2750 shoe, made entirely with Blender.
From a reference scanned using a structured light 3D scanner, 3D artist Valerio Fissolo (Creative Director at Protocube srl) shaped a high poly reconstruction of the shoe. The model was then textured and subsequently optimized for reproduction through the full color sandstone 3D printing process.
The variant represented by the image does not correspond to an actually existing model, but to an artistic version proposed by Protocube.
We used blender for the entire process, with the exception of the optimization process for 3D printing that requires special software.
Here you can see some screenshots, so that you can use it to explain the process.
