Blenderheads in Melbourne are meeting this Thursday.
Andrew Buttery writes:
The Melbourne Blender society will be meeting at VPAC Systems Office on Thursday the 27th of November from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
Firstly, we are working on something big early next year and will hopefully be announcing it on the night.
In an action packed last meeting for the year our special guest this month is Paul Caggegi who will do an introduction to the Video Sequence Editor (VSE). Paul is a professional video editor and motion graphics designer. He also is the creator of the Pandeia comic book in which he uses Blender to create background elements. See his talk about how he incorporates Blender in to his creative process from last year’s Blender Conference.
Andrew Buttery will demonstrate SyncSketch which is used by Theory Animation (of Ray & Clovis fame) for doing their animation critiques remotely.
If we have time, Andrew will also show how model objects such a fence and tiled roof using particle systems which we are using for Project Charcoal.
We'll give an update on the Project Charcoal including how close we are to making the first shot "final" and what we have learnt so far...
Finally, we'll have open Q&A - aka instant tutorial, where you can ask questions and one of the experts will answer. Last time Alex Fraser built a mini-game using the logic editor and python in 30 minutes!
There will be 12 computers available for use in the workshop. Last time there were enough computers for everyone, but you can bring a laptop if you like. Or, you can just watch.
So see you Thursday 27th at: VPAC – Building 91 (view map) 110 Victoria Street, Carlton South.
Melbourne Blender Society is sponsored by Blender Training.
