Mantaflow is a unified simulation framework for both fluid and smoke simulations. It is currently integrated into Blender. BlenderDiplom will provide demos of the state of integration whenever new features arrive. BlenderDiplom shares a first preview of a Mantaflow fluid simulation in Blender.
Gottfried Hofmann writes:
Mantaflow will bring unified smoke and fluid simulation to Blender - here is a first demo video of a fluid simulation stored in Blender's voxel data cache.

It looks like the liquid doesn't fill the "invisible container" when more is added. When the blender diplom text falls, the level of the liquid seems to decrease instead! Is this wanted (like a "keep fixed level" toggle-able feature) or it just happened?
This is very early work - should not happen anymore in the future.
Ooooooh yes baby ! Mad props to Roman.
Now... same question as Giovanni ?
Nice to see how Blender evolves on many surprising features and integrates with other projects
I dont understand exactly as of why, (there allready was fluid sim for cycles), but i'm sure by the time its ready we will see new option, or get better results. Blender improves with every new version; another fun future, looking forward to it.
Why not use particle fluids and surface the particles?
That may be on the way. I know OpenvDB has a mesher, I don't know if we will get it.

Sometime we'll get our "Naiad" :) Glad to see this work!
How do i install this with blender or do i need to enable it in some way I can't see it anywhere in my simulation tab
