I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

Hi Axel. I also tried this method, but the problem is the some of the verts near the top / bottom do not deform correctly at the right angle.

And if you try to adjust the influence of the Proportional editing tool, it affects unwanted vertices

This does also not rotate the horizontal edgeloops, but it skews the twist. which might or might not be what you need...

  1. Great! ...just one mystery for me - why my insert select, de-selects the interior faces? Tried activating the Insert Add-on, but am getting the same behavior. Any ideas? Kind of interesting for other effects...

Oh I see, but I really wanted to know what theme is applied to the interface. I liked this gray layout with blue highlights.
